After losing to Leicester on Saturday last week, Ole's next fixtures seem to be a thing of utmost concern. Man U will be playing the in-form Liverpool at home on Sunday by 4:30 and it is a must-win for Ole side else he will be at risk of losing his job.
Liverpool beat Atletico Madrid in a champions league match last night and also led Watford on a 5 goals thriller in their last Premier League match. Ole needs to step up his game before the game against Liverpool and these are the suggested three things he needs to do to be able to beat Klopp's men at Old Trafford.
1. Ole should adjust his defense line, especially in the center-back position. He played Maguire and Lindelof at the center-back in the match against Leicester City. Maguire wasn't fully fit in the match and because of that, he made a lot of errors in some of which led to goals. If it means resting those his center-backs that's Maguire and Varane to get them fit for the match against Liverpool, Ole should consider that and play Bailly and Lindelof against Atalanta in the Champions League group stage match.
2. Secondly, coming to the midfield position, a double 4 has always worked for Manchester United but then Ole needs to create space for Pogba and Bruno to play and that has cost him a lot. Ole should consider benching Pogba and playing Fred and Mctominay in the defensive midfield position and then play Bruno in the attacking midfield position. It's already clear that Pogba is no longer maintaining the initial form he started the season with.
Ole plays Pogba in the flank position in his previous matches which worked out fine but then he (Ole) already has too many wingers on the bench with Rashford making his season debut on Saturday against Leicester and scoring an equalizing goal which was immediately made futile by Vardy's lead goal in few seconds.
3. Lastly, Ole should play Rashford, Ronaldo, and Greenwood in the attacking three.
