It has been coming. It has been coming. Its finally here!
The Los Blancos have been superb since the restart of the league, winning every single game they've played since then. Real were actually behind Barcelona when the League restarted, but consecutive draws - coupled with Madrid's own terrific form - ensured that the Galacticos would go on to become Champions of Spain for the first time since 2017, while Cristiano Ronaldo was still at the club.
They confirmed their status as champions when they beat Villarreal at the San Mames, the inspirational Karim Benzema scoring a brace to befittingly crown Real Champions. Benzema has been carrying the team since Ronaldo left, and he's been superb this season, contributing goals and assists. Captain Sergio Ramos has also been fantastic, supplying a lot of goals while also doing his defensive duties.
All in all, its been a deserved victory for Real ,who have no doubt been the better team, as Barcelona fell apart.
Congrats to Real Madrid, Champions of Spain!
