Crystal Palace played out a 0-0 stalemate with relegation-threatened Fulham.

Leicester City missed a chance to move to second place after they were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal.

Tottenham recovery from their recent league slump to record a convincing 4-0 victory over Burnley.

Meanwhile in the star match of the week, Manchester United played out a 0-0 stalemate with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. United fell further behind in the title race. They are not 12 points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool also recovered from their recent league slump to beat bottom placed Sheffield United 0-2.

Everton beat Southampton 1-0 at Goodison park.
