Paul Scholes' Latest Assessment Of Chelsea's Defence & Attack This Season Is Wrong

Paul Scholes is an English football coach, pundit, former player, and co-owner of Salford City. The 46-years-old midfielder who spent his entire playing career at Manchester United winning many major titles and individuals awards before becoming a football pundit.

The Manchester United legend recently had his occasional dig at Chelsea again this season. Paul Scholes believes Chelsea doesn't have what it takes to be champions of England this season when the campaign ends in May.

Paul Scholes, Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville hosted a show on Gary Neville's TV show 'The Overlap' during the weekend. The interactive TV show with the fans of each premier league clubs was heated when Paul Scholes was tackled by a Chelsea fan known as Lewis. Lewis asked Paul Scholes why he thinks Chelsea are not favourites to win the title.

Paul Scholes responded by saying Chelsea doesn't have enough of goals in them, but he believes Lukaku will score goals but it won't be enough to win the league, because they lack creativity in the final attacking third. Also, He said Chelsea have the weakest defence compared to the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool.

The reason why Paul Scholes assessment on Chelsea's defence and attack this season is wrong is because Chelsea are sitting top of the premier league after seven games which they have played four of the big five teams in the league which includes Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham hotspurs.

Chelsea have also scored fifteen goals with only Liverpool scoring more with seventeen. Chelsea and Manchester City conceded the least goals in the division with three goals conceded in the first seven games, so Paul Scholes assessment and judgement on Chelsea's attack and defence is wrong and Chelsea are huge title contenders this season.
