Lewandowski Has Been Robbed - See Reactions As FIFA Cancels Ballon d'Or 2020

The Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) has announced that Ballon d'Or for the world's best players will not be awarded in 2020 because of a "lack of sufficient fair conditions" created by the coronavirus pandemic.

The accolade jointly awarded by FIFA and France Football.

"We did not want to put an indelible asterisk on the prize list like 'trophy won in exceptional circumstances due to the Covid-19 health crisis'," it added.

"Protecting the credibility and legitimacy of such an award also means ensuring its flawlessness over time."

However, Football fans has taken to their social media accounts to react to the news.. Some football fans has accused organisers of the award of cancelling the award because Messi and Ronaldo do not stand a chance to win the award against Lewandoski.

Lewandowski has 34 league goals in 31 appearances; 11 Champions League goals in 6 appearances and 6 goals in 5 German Cup appearances. Making his total goals 51.

Messi has 2 goals in 6 Champions League games; 25 goals in 33 La Liga games and 3 goals in Spanish cup games. Making his total goals 30.

Cristiano Ronaldo has 28 league goals in 29 Seria A appearances, 2 in 6 Champions League appearances and 2 in 5 Italian cup appearances. Making his total 32.
