As the English Premier League is set to resume this weekend one coach who will be looking to prove himself is Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he has been under pressure from fans who have called for his sack due to the recent poor form displayed by the red devils. Although Manchester United is still just two points behind EPL leaders Chelsea, fans will be hoping Solskjaer can improve on his game tactics and inspire the team to a long-awaited English Premier League title.
Manchester United Injury Worries
Early last week Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjer was excited about the return of Marcus Rashford to the team after his shoulder surgery, the Manchester United forward also scored a brace in a friendly game against Blackburn Rovers last week, this development also brightened the hopes of fans, but the team has again been hit by big injuries and absentees that has again cast a dark cloud over the club.
Raphael Varane injured for France but could return next week - Man United News And Transfer News | The Peoples Person"/>
New Manchester United signee Raphael Varane is set to join the list of players that will miss Manchester United's EPL clash with Leicester City, Varane picked up an injury in France's UEFA Nations League final game against Spain last night, though the extent of the injury and how long he will be out for is yet to be confirmed.
Also captain Harry Maguire is injured and will miss the Leicester clash, Edison Cavani and Fred are also ruled out due to the British coronavirus red list rule, as things stand Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Edison Cavani, and Fred will all miss Manchester United's EPL clash with Leicester.
What does this mean for Solskjaer?
Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be having a headache on how to set of his team against Leicester in their weekend EPL clash, because they lost twice to them last season, and have been deprived of 4 of their best players ahead of the game.
Solskjaer will play the game without his best central defenders and will have no other option but to pair Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof in central defense, this may also force Solskjaer to recall Phil Jones to the first team squad, he will also be missing Fred who is his most preferred option in the defensive midfield, he will have to start either, Matic or Van De Beek in that position, these are critical positions that the Leicester team may want to capitalize on to try and weaken the resistance of Manchester United this weekend.
Solskjaer will also be praying the extent of the injury that Varane suffered is not severe, he will also hope that both Varane and Maguire recover quickly from their injuries because Manchester United's next ten games will test the team's mentality and depth greatly, they will be playing teams like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham, and Liverpool in the English Premier League and teams like Atalanta, and Villareal in the UEFA Champions League.
With these tough tests ahead Solskjaer will need his best legs to execute these matches, Solskjaer will be happy that Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood, and Anthony Martial will be available for selection against the big six EPL teams, he will also be hoping that the great form Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay displayed at the weekend for their countries could be brought into the Manchester United team.
Solskjaer will have to prove how much of a tactician he is by getting results for the games against the EPL big six because the result from these games may determine how Manchester United may end the 2021/2022 season, and if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will remain as manager of the red devils next season.
