Today being Saturday 16th of October, there are going to be 7 games being played in the English Premier league after the international break. The first game will be between Watford and Liverpool, while the last game will be between Brentford and Chelsea.
Here are the listof the English Premier league fixtures for today.
Watford Vs Liverpool
Aston Villa Vs Wolves
Leicester Vs Manchester United
Manchester City Vs Burnley
Norwich City Vs Brighton
Southampton Vs Leeds United
Brentford Vs Chelsea
Below are the 4 Upsets that can happen in the English Premier league matches today.
1. Watford Vs Liverpool.
In the first match of the day which is usually tagged as "early kick off" 15th placed Watford will welcome Liverpool who are placed 2nd in the table, to Vicarage road.
Liverpool are obviously the favourites to win this game, but let's not write off Watford, as they are capable of causing an upset. Liverpool will be missing some key players for this particular fixture, as the likes of Fabinho, Alisson, and Firminho played for Brazil a night ago, so they won't be able to return on time for this game, and this is something that Watford can look to capitalise on.
There's no doubt that Liverpool still has players capable of replacing them, but we know how the team chemistry will reduce because of this.
So for the Liverpool fans, while this might appear as an easy game for your team, don't write Watford off yet.
2. Leicester Vs Manchester United.
Manchester United might not be the outright favourites coming into this fixture due to the fact that Leicester city are now one of the Premier League big boys, but the addition of Ronaldo to that Man United team, gives them an edge over others.
It is true that Leicester have not been able to replicate their previous season's form this season yet, and everyone will be seeing this game as a walk in the park for Man United, but i believe this might be the match Leicester will use to pick their form back.
3. Manchester City Vs Burnley.
Manchester city are obviously the strongest team in England right now, and everything including head to head, suggests they will not only best, but they will trash and dismantle this Burnley team.
But let's also remember the Southampton game where everyone expected city to do the same, but they ended play out a nil nil draw, and i think something like that may happen again today, or even worse, Burnley may do the impossible and beat Manchester City today.
4. Brentford Vs Chelsea.
Many people are now tipping this Tuchel's Chelsea as one of the favourites to win the EPL trophy this season, and as such, they are expected to beat this newly promoted Brentford team, but i don't think that will happen today.
If we can all remember last season when a promoted Westbrom team beat Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge, even after Chelsea were the outright favourites before that match. Well, i think that might happen again today, as Chelsea are going away from home to face this exciting Brentford team.
Let's also know that Brentford has already beat Arsenal this season, and also played a 3-3 draw with Liverpool. And these 2 mentioned teams are among the Premier league big boys, so it won't come as a surprise if they do it again against Chelsea today.
Among these 4 Upsets, which do you think is the most likely to happen?
