Arsenal Fan, Dino Melaye Go Spiritual, Calls On God To Remove Arteta

Senator Dino Melaye, a former member of the Nigerian National Assembly who represented Kogi West Senatorial District, has asked God to intervene in the ouster of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

Premier League champions Manchester City thrashed a 10-man Arsenal side 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Arsenal are only the second team in Premier League history to lose their opening three matches and have a goal differential of minus nine. Arteta had overseen defeats to newly promoted Brentford and Chelsea prior to Saturday's meeting.

During the 2003-04 season, Wolverhampton Wanderers were the first team, and they finished last in the standings.

Following the recent defeat, additional requests have been made for Arteta's dismissal, who took over from fellow Spaniard Unai Emery in 2020.

And Arsenal supporter Melaye has added his voice to the chorus calling for Arteta's dismissal.

On his Twitter account, Melaye said, "Arsenal coach: God, please chase him far away from the team."

After three games, Arsenal is at the bottom of the league table with nil points and no goals scored.
