According to the report from Spanish publication Marca, English Premier League giants Arsenal football club are hoping to reach an agreement with Spanish Laliga Santander Champions Real Madrid for the signature of Norway national team captain Martin Odegaard, who has been impressive since joining the London based club on a short loan deal.
The former Real Sociedad football club of Spain star has been fantastic for Mikel Arteta led Gunners since joining them on loan last winter transfer window, after failing to cement his spot in Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid first team, but he has been able to turn his season around since moving to English Premier League, playing almost all the matches for the club.
The Norwegian youngster had a remarkable week last week, as he netted two goals in his team's last two matches played (against Greece Super League Champions Olympiacos FC in the UEFA Europa League, and against Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur at Emirates Stadium in the English Premier League).
Odegaard's excellent performance has now made him to be linked with a permanent move to the Emirates Stadium, as the Gunners are ready to reach an agreement with his parent club before his loan deal expires at the end of the season.
Spanish publication Marca revealed this via their verified Twitter handle on Wednesday morning that;
"Arsenal football club hope to reach an agreement with Real Madrid FC to keep hold of Martin Odegaard."
Martin Odegaard's excellent performance with the Gunners has also made him to be named as his country's national team captain, and there is probability of him also to be interested in signing a permanent deal with the English Premier League giants in the next summer transfer window.
