Chelsea star guides his team to FIFA World Cup qualifiers 3-1 comeback win

English premier league giant, Chelsea FC defender Thiago Silva was in action in the early hours of today for Brazil in their 9th game of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela at the Estadio Olimpico de la UCV.

The former Paris Saint Germain and AC Milan star was handed a role to play in his team's starting XI following his incredible performance for the team in their previous game and he was able to shine.

Thiago Silva was strong at the back line as he was at the heart of the defence thereby playing the whole 90 minutes duration of the game with his great influx of delivery.

Brazil in the first half conceded a goal and as such trailed from behind going into the half time break as Eric Ramirez gave his side the lead which was the only goal that separated the two sides at the end of the first 45 minutes.

The visitor in the second half stepped up their game and as such put up some physical, tactical and technical displays which got them an equaliser with a goal from Marquinhos to make it 1-1 before Gabriel Barbosa gave his side the lead via penalty as he put the ball away from the spot to make it two goals to one.

In the last minute to the end of the game, Brazil were able to extend their lead with a goal from Antony as it ended three goals to one at full time.

The win of the game for Brazil means they now sit at the top of the table with 27 points in 9 games played and as such be hoping to keep the winning streaks going in their next fixture.
