EPL: Arsenal Inconsistencies Will Continue To Be Their Undoing

Just when you thought that Arsenal have turned the tide for the better, they go ahead to undo all of their good work in an instant. This was made evident as the Gunners were held at home to visiting Crystal Palace in a Matchday Eight clash at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

However, at North London, the issue here is that Arsenal are not consistent enough. After giving another limp performance, it is clear that they will not be able to challenge for European places. Manager Mikel Arteta has got to get his team into performing on a regular basis - week in and week out, hence, they will miss out on continental football next season, which will be disastrous considering the fact that playing in Europe adds to the revenue the club generates and that players may decide to leave the team in the search for European football elsewhere.

Arsenal's troubles are yet to end. No disrespect intended to Crystal Palace but these are the teams the Gunners should be putting to the sword, if they are to actualize their objectives. The only positive thing from Monday's game against Crystal Palace was that they are now unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions. But performances have got to improve or else, Mikel Arteta will be a sorry individual.
