Mikel Arteta sends message to Arsenal board

In their bid to attain top 4, arsenal slipped by failing to get three points against Tottenham and Leicester. Winning this games was crucial in their top four bid. The manager was not happy about because most goal conceded was due to individual errors from the defenders. He beckoned on the hierarchy to invest money to buying better players irrespective of whether they achieve top four.

In his recent interview, he said that he fear that the gap between the top teams will be much if investment is not done.

Arteta (investment) “You are not in the Champions League and because you are not in the Champions League, you say, ‘Okay, I don’t invest because I don’t have the financial ability to do it’. But the other clubs invest and then the gap becomes bigger. Because we've an incredible history, an incredible structure, in a beautiful city and a style of play that attracts players. I'm telling you now because when I am closer to the market now when I speak to people, a lot of players want to play for Arsenal.”

Arteta on if buying a defender like van Dijk is his aim: "Yes as thats the way I believe a team has to be built. They were conceding goals, with individual errors & set pieces as well. The moment they touched the spine of the team that changes dramatically. It’s quick fix.

What do you suggest arsenal should do?
