See Former Nigerian Striker now a premier league Commentator who played for Norwich and Wimbledon

His name is Efan Ekoku, in full, it is Efangwu Goziem Ekoku.

Efan Ekoku was a former Nigerian and Norwich and Wimbledon striker who now works as a commentator for Premier League productions.

Most Nigerians born in the late 1980s and 1990s wouldn't know Efan Ekoku who scored 52 premier league goals and providing 10 assists while playing for Wimbledon and Norwich City from 1997-1998 season to 1992-1993 season.

Efan Ekoku was born on June 8, 1967. He played as a forward for Merton, Sutton United, Bournemouth, Norwich City, Wimbledon, Sheffield Wednesday, Grasshopper and Dublin City.

Efan Ekoku whom the Children of our era in the city of Aba would call "Ifeanyi Coke" made 160 appearances scoring 52 goals, making him 9 on the list of African players top scorers in premier league history.

Efan Ekoku was signed by former Tottenham's manager Harry Redknapp who was then Bournemouth's manager who had just relegated to third division.

By and large, he retired in 2004 with Irish club - Dublin City. In 2012, Norwich City inducted him into their Hall of Fame. He is an unsung Nigerian hero indeed.
