5 Things That Make Ronaldo "The Best Premier League Player" Since His Man United Return

Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Manchester United is still generating the necessary headlines it deserves. The fact the man himself has wasted no time in settling in for the send time has made him a constant name in almost all football discussions.

Since Ronaldo completed his sensational return to Manchester United after he was rumoured to be joining Manchester City, he has simply been sensational. With two goals in his first game for Manchester United and 1 goal in each of his next two games, the Portuguese captain has certainly been better than many superstars around.

As a result, it is safe to say that the former world Player of the Year award winner has been the best Premier League player since he returned to Manchester United.

Recall that even the announcement of his return alone generated record-breaking reactions. Similarly, his iconic number 7 shirt has sold the highest of any Premier League player this season. In fact, Manchester United have earned more than half of the fee they paid Juventus to have him back.

In less than a month and after just two Premier League games under his belt, the Portuguese superstar has already done some things that suggest that he has been the best player in the Premier League since he returned.

In this article, I will tell you five things that show how Ronaldo has been the best Premier League player since his return.

To start with, Ronaldo has scored in all three matches he has played in for Manchester United since he returned. As a result, the number of goals he has scored in the Premier League is 3 out of the 4 goals he has scored. Perhaps, only Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku has the same.

Furthermore, those who said that Ronaldo would not be able to play like he used to because of his age will need to have a rethink. This is because Ronaldo has had more touches of the ball in the opposition box than any other Premier League player since he came back. His 21 touches in opposition box in his two games so far is the highest by any player.

What this reveals in that Ronaldo has been involved in the majority of the Red Devil's attacking play. For a player seen as being selfish by to rivals to such a chart speaks volume of his calibre. We can therefore say he has been the best player.

Furthermore, since Ronaldo made his second debut for Manchester United, he has had more shots fired than any other Premier League player. Ronaldo has fired 13 shots in total, with 12 of them coming from inside the box. Both numbers are the highest by a particular player in that time.

Consequently, From his 13 shots on goal, 7 are on target, the most by any player. As a result of his 7 shorts on target, he has scored 3 goals, as said earlier.

Lastly, Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't been about goals. Even though he has scored 3 Premier League goals, he has equally created the most big chances by any other Premier League player. His 5 big chances created in his two games so far is higher than that of any player in the league in that time.

For a player to have topped these important charts in the league in just two games, it is safe to call such a player “the best player” at the moment.
