Barcelona travelled to face Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames Stadium today in what was an intense game of football played on the night.
Barcelona had the best opportunity in the first half of the match as Martin Braithwaite missed a golden chance well worked by Memphis Depay in the 6th minute. Athletic Bilbao weren't quiet in the match as they registered a few attempts goal but none could find the back of the net.
The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw as both sides were unable to break the deadlock at halftime.
Athletic Bilbao got the first goal of the match in the 50th minute as Inigo Martinez headed the ball beautifully into the Barcelona's net to put the home side 1-0 ahead
Barcelona found their way back into the game as Memphis Depay drove a powerful shot past Athletic Bilbao's goalkeeper to bring both sides to level terms. The match eventually ended in a 1-1 draw as both clubs were unable to secure maximum points from their encounter.
