In a post recently shared by Just Chelsea on Facebook, Timo Werner noted that he is very happy to have won his first Champions League trophy at Chelsea, and he hopes to see them do better under new coach, Graham Potter.
He added that they were some tough and bad times for him at Chelsea, but he is glad to have played for the club.
In his words, Timo Werner stated;
"Personally, it wasn't the very best time. I had imagined something more. I learned a lot and won the Champions League and other trophies. I enjoyed the two years abroad very much – and enjoyed London very much. I had one laughing eye and one crying eye."
Timo Werner left Chelsea earlier this season after failing to have an impact at the club, and fans are happy to see him settling well at Leipzig.
