He was the best player on the pitch in the first half and scored the game's opening goal with a superb first-time shot. It was entertaining to see him pass and evade challenges.

Overall, several Liverpool fringe players put up a strong display today, with Mohamed Salah scoring the second goal, giving Liverpool a perfect record in the UEFA Champions League group stages.
