REPORTS: Manchester United ready transfer move for 23-year-old central midfielder

Manchester United football club were undoubtedly one of the few active Premier League clubs during the just-concluded summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are keen on winning their first piece of silverware under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and have splashed the cash to sign Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane to strengthen their squad.

However, that has not quite gone as planned as Manchester United are currently sitting in 6th position on the Premier League table after taking up just 14 points from their first eight league matches so far.

Due to that disappointing start to the season, the Red Devils remain keen on adding more players to their squad and are now reportedly lining up a bid for RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo.

The 23-year-old Spain International, who joined RB Leipzig from Dinamo Zagreb in 2020 has been an important member of the first-team squad since he made the move.

The young attacking midfielder had an interesting 2020/2021 season where he made 46 appearances in all competitions, scoring 7 goals and creating 12 assists in total.

Dani Olmo has also enjoyed a bright start to the 2021/2022 season and has recorded an assist in three appearances so far, helping RB Leipzig to 8th position on the Bundesliga table.

His impressive performances in midfield is said to have caught the attention of a number of clubs and accordintg to reports from The Sun, Manchester United are also keen in signing him.

The reports further claimed that Manchester United are seemingly interested in Dani Olmo and are preparing a bid to lure him away from Germany.

That said, it remains to be seen if Dani Olmo will aim to continue his developments at RB Leipzig or be interested in a move to Old Trafford when the transfer window opens.
