Football, also called association football or soccer, a game in which two teams of 11 players, using any part of their bodies except their hands and arms, try to maneuver the ball into the opposing team's goal. The team that scores more goals wins.

Here are the difficult records in football history:


10. Most goals by a goalkeeper.


The record for most goals is held by the Brazilian goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni, with 131 goals. He scored his landmark 100th goal in a 2-1 win for Sao Paulo on 27 March 2011.


9. Most goals scored.


Most of us mistakenly attribute this record to Pele. But pele is not even second in the catalog. The highest goalscorer is Josef Bican. see the ranking here.

The current world record for an international is held by Archie Thompson who scored 13 goals against American Samoa in Australia's 31-0 victory during the 2002 Fifa world cup qualification. David Zdricic scored 8 goals.

Throughout 38 games, Derby County managed to win only one game, against Newcastle. They lost 29 games, scored 20 goals, and finished the season with only 11points.


4. Most appearances over a career.


According to the football database, English goalkeeper Peter Shilton has accumulated the most official appearance with 1390.


3. Winning the champion league with a squad consisting entirely of local players.


Celtic won the European cup in 1967 with a team consisting of players born and raised in the vicinity of the stadium.

The record for most international goals belongs to Ali Daei, who hit 109 goals for Iran in 149 appearances between 1993 and 2006.


1. Most goals in a single world cup.

Fontaine holds the record for the most goals scored at a single men's tournament, with 13 goals in 1958. The players that came closest were Kocsis in 1954, Muller in 1970, and Portugal's Eusbeco in 1966, with 11,10 and 9 respectively.
