Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has signed so many great players this summer. This means that he is one of the favourites to win the UEFA Champions League trophy this season. He has already registered seven points in the English Premier League this season.
However, the Norwegian tactician did not include Mason Greenwood in his squad for the UEFA Champions League. The English teenager has been one of Man United's best players this season. He has already scored three goals in the English Premier League this campaign.
The main reason why Mason Greenwood was not included in the squad is because he is under the age of 21. There is a UEFA rule that states that players under the age of 21 should not be included in the main list because they are homegrown. This means that Mason Greenwood is actually eligible to play in the UEFA Champions League this season.
Another Man United youngster who was excluded from the squad is Anthony Elanga. It is important to note that Anthony Elanga is also a homegrown player. He is one of the most talented young players at Old Trafford.
