He is one of the longest serving NPFL warriors is no other but El Kanemi's Isiaka Olawale, one of the finest midfielder of his generation. 

In a career that has span over two decades has seen Ojigwe as Olawale Isiaka is popularly known travel to almost all the nukes and crannies of this country just for the love of the round leather game and no surprise that the the father of three was recently inducted into the board of the Kwara State beach football. 

Isiaka Olawale disclosed that his journey into football started in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara state in Nigeria. 

"My very first experience as a rookie was with the now defunct Kwara Stars FC in Ilorin where I broke into the limelight before I moved to Katsina United as I went later on to teamed up with Lobi stars''. 

''It was with Lobi stars where I had my most productive years as I was made the captain of the side before we went on to win the FA Cup and I got invited then to the Super Eagles by Berti Vogts alongside Mutiu Adegoke and Uche Oguchi''. 

During those years with Lobi stars Isiaka Olawale was already a household name as he has won so many admirers with his creativity at the center of the park which prompted the handlers of the sand Eagles to give him a trial. 

"I was invited along side two other home based players into the national team and it was a rare opportunity as a kid to roll with the big boys then in the super eagles as we where invited on merits and in 2006 I was extended an invitation to play for the Sand Eagles by late Coach Shaibu Amodu and his assistant, late Kelechi Emeteole, A move I never regretted as I went on to play at the world biggest stage and also became a continental champion with the team".

With over 50 goals for the sand eagles the 35 years old dead ball specialist attributed that both Russia and Brazil were the toughest opponents he has ever faced in the Beach Soccer. 

"The toughest teams I have ever come against are no other but the Brazilians and the Russians, incidentally both sides are world champions".

he continued,

"I can't forget the day I led Nigeria to win the Beach Soccer Afcon back to back thereby also winning the highest scorer and the MVP as I ended up being the only African player to make the FIFA XI for Beach Soccer".

"I made the FIFA XI and was expected to be in Brazil for the ceremonial match but due to fuel scarcity in Nigeria and no movement policy then I could not make the trip from Port Harcourt to Lagos to process my traveling documents.

With two Beach Soccer Afcon winners medals, two Golden boots, two MVP, 1 FIFA beach soccer XI, and four FIFA world cup appearances, Olawale Isiaka is a legend of the game as he is currently on the books of El kanemi Warriors for the 2019/2020 NNL season.
