Paris Saint-Germain have had one of the best transfer windows ever. The French giants have signed four world-class players for free: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi.
1. PSG lack a world-class midfield playmaker
The likes of Ander Herrera, Marco Verratti, Georginio Wijnaldum and Idrissa Gueye are industrial, hard-working players who will put in their best at the heart of midfield. However, none of them are creative players.
The burden of consistent creative production will eventually rest on the shoulders of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar.
2. Imbalanced attack
Despite the attacking prowess of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe, the trio doesn't contribute defensively. Given the world-class numbers the trio has produced over the years, that is understandable, though.
Pochettino likes his attackers to track back, but he may have to make some exceptions this time around. So it remains to be seen how that would affect the club's performances.
3. Lack of Champions' League Winning Coach
Although PSG are one of the heavy spenders during the transfer window, but they are yet to hire a coach who have won the Champions League before. The likes of Laurent Blanc, Unai Emery and now Pochettinno have never won the UCL with their past clubs and their record in going forward in the UCL is not so great. This current team has everything to win the UCL, its up to Pochetinno to now to do the wonders.
