Mason Mount is a young English mildfieder that plays for English side Chelsea in the premier league. He is one of the outstanding and uprising stars in modern day football.
Mason Mount has been many coach's favorite as he has played games under England manager Gareth Southgate, former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard and currently playing well under manager Thomas Tuchel.
Last Saturday Chelsea travelled to the St Mary's stadium as they take on struggling Southampton in a premier league match, the game ended in a 1-1 draw after Mason Mount's cool penalty in the second half cancelled out Minamino's first half hit.
Mason Mount is currently one of the most improved players at the bridge right now and we saw the young English talent create yet another record that might not be broken anytime soon.
After the game, Mason Mount became the first English player to score a penalty in the premier league for Chelsea since Frank Lampard did so in 2013. Mason Mount has scored a penalty in the UEFA super cup against Liverpool and recently missed in the Carling cup against Tottenham Hostpurs, but the last one against Southampton is his first in the premier league.
It may take some time before we see another English player score a premier league penalty for Chelsea again.
