The Cottagers got the first goal of the match as Ola Aina scored to give the visitors' the 1-0 lead in the 49th minute. Ola Aina's effort was cancelled as Ashley Barnes made things level between both sides in the 52nd minute. An additional goal wasn't scored as both sides sat for a 1-1 draw at full-time.

Manchester City remained superior in the premier league as they did amazingly well to secure an impressive 3-1 victory over Everton at the Goodison Park. Goals from Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and Bernado Silva granted Man City their 12th consecutive victory in the premier league.
