The UEFA Champions League is a football competition played across Europe since 1955. The tournament is staged by the Union of European Football Association (UEFA), it is organized to show case the best teams in Europe.
Football club's who qualify for the tournament are further splitted into different groups of 4 teams per group.
A total of 32 clubs pertake in the competition, the two club's with the fewest points in each group are eliminated from the group stage and the first two teams progress to the round of 16.
There are several awards given at the end of the tournament each year ranging from golden boot for the highest goal scorer, best eleven of the season, golden glove for the best goalkeeper and some other accolades.
