ARS 0-2 CHE: Check Out What Mikel Arteta Said After Chelsea Defeat

As regards the 2021-2022 season, Arsenal lost their second match in the Premier League, as the Thomas Tuchel's men comfortably put 2 goals past them at the Emirates this evening. Of course, the Gunners played awfully throughout the 90 minutes, and Chelsea seized the opportunity to bag 3 points.

Without a doubt, there are many Arsenal players who are unavailable, because of injury and illness. As a result of that, the Mikel Arteta's men weren't strong enough to face Chelsea, especially when the Blues added Romelu Lukaku to their frontline. The likes of Pablo Mari and Rob Holding aren't good enough in the absence of Gabriel Magalhães and Ben White.

However, the Gunners' gaffer has given his opinion about the clash, as he claimed that the Thomas Tuchel's men were too good today. And, he believes that the team is endowed with many world-class players. Frankly, most of Arsenal footballers tried their best, particularly Smith Rowe, Kieran Tierney and Nicolas Pepe.

Mikel Arteta said:

"Chelsea were too good for us today. They have world-class players and world-class organization. That's why they are the European Championships"

Apparently, the Spanish manager didn't lie about his statement, because his team was too poor to handle Chelsea. Statistically, the Blues completed 317 passes, 62% possessions, and 10 shots, while Arsenal completed 194 passes, 38% possessions and 2 shots. Without a doubt, the Gunners need to buy more new players, if they really want to go far in all competitions this season.

Speaking of world-class players, Romelu Lukaku made it look so easy when contesting with Mari and Holding, because the two centre-backs were too lazy to handle him, and that was what led to Chelsea's first goal. However, if the Brazilian and the Englishman were available today, perhaps the Belgian wouldn't have embarrassed the Mikel Arteta's men at the back.

Was Chelsea really too good for Arsenal today?
