The Nigeria national team has been struggling to get sponsorship from Telecommunication companies in Nigeria.

The Nigerian Football Federation have been criticized by Nigerian fans over their failure to secure top sponsorship for our national team.

The Amaju Pinnick led administration have finally secured a billion naira sponsorship deal with one of the Africa's largest telecommunication company (MTN).

The deal is worth a whopping N1.5 billion, which made them “Official Communications Partner of the Super Eagles and other National Teams.”

The sponsorship came at the right as the Super Eagles prepare to take on Liberia in the World Cup qualifiers on Friday in Lagos. They will also face Cape Verde in the second round on Tuesday.

The president of the Nigerian football federation, Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick thanked the Telecommunication giant for its patience, doggedness and forthrightness along the line while the partnership was being processed.

Pinnick further revealed he has been dreaming of this partnership for along time and it's exciting it materialized in his regime.
