Israel Adesanya is a Nigerian-born New Zealand professional mixed martial artist. He has also competed in kickboxing and boxing. As a mixed martial artist, he is currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he is the UFC Middleweight Champion and has an undefeated record of 20 wins and no losses.
In his next title defense, Adesanya faced Paulo Costa on September 27, 2020 at UFC 253. He won the fight via technical knockout in the second round. This win earned him his fifth Performance of the Night award. Israel knocked out Paulo Costa in the second round on Saturday night. The fight was a dominant defence of his middleweight title, winning by TKO in the second round. We all expected to see the fight to be judge by point and witnessed all the rounds, because according to Paul Costa records, he has never been knockout too before just like Adesanya. Paul Costa has an undefeated record of 13 wins and no losses, until last night when he was knocked out in the second round.
Former Nigeria President, Atiku Abubakar took to his verified Facebook page to congratulates him.
