VEN 3:2 ROM: One issue Jose Mourinho needs to address after Roma lost today

Venezia defeated Roma by 3 goals to 2 in the Italian Serie A today.

In the first half Eldor Shomurodov and Tammy Abraham scored two quick goals in the 43rd and 45th minutes respectively after Mattia Caldara had put the host ahead three minutes into the game.

In the second half, Aramu scored from the spot to leveled the scores for Venezia in the 65th minutes and David Okereke restored the host team's lead in the 75th minutes.

The visitors were lucky to concede just three goals as Rui Patricio made brilliant saves to keep them in the game, but Jose Mourinho's side failed to impress in the final third.

After today's defeat, Mourinho needs to address his defensive strategy.

Roma have conceded 15 goals in the Italian Serie A this season and prior to this game, there was no genuine left back for Jose Mourinho's side as Matias Vina, Riccardo, Leonardo Spinazzola and Chris Smalling were all out injured.

However, instead of using Ibanez in that position, get radically changed his tactics from 4:2:3:1 to 3:4:2:1 and this sudden development created opportunities for the home side.
