It was a season-defining game as football fans wondered who would win the match. However, Jose Mourhino has shown why he is still special as his team completely outplayed Rodgers team.
The first half ended 3-0 as Hardy Kane scored twice in less than 5 minutes.
This victory means that Tottenham is currently 6th in the table. They have leapfrogged Wolves for now.
However, the reason why Chelsea fans should be happy about the result is that this victory has made their job easier.
Chelsea has 63 points and their next game is against Liverpool at Anfield. There is a high possibility they will lose the match and so because Leicester City couldn't win the match against Tottenham, they will remain in 4th with 62 points.
Chelsea will, therefore, have nothing to worry about even if they lose to Liverpool. All they need to do is to beat Wolves on the last day of the season to get 66 points which is enough to help them qualify for champions league while anybody that wins between Manchester United and foxes will join them in the top 4.
This Tottenham's victory is a big advantage to Chelsea and their fans must jubilate.
