Chelsea is one of the big clubs of England, the club was formed in 1905 and since then lots of big names have played for the blues ,players like Gianfranco Zola, Peter Osgood, Roy Bentley just to name a few, however, the club has rejected some players that have gone on to have success elsewhere.
Here we look at the top 10 Players who left the Bridge to become big names of the game.

The Egyptian was sold by Jose Mourinho back in 2015 for a small sum to Roma where he shined for the club. His form and goal scoring was noticed by Jurgen Kloop who signed him in 2017 for 42m,Salah has since went on to score 125 goals in 203 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions.
2 Kevin Debruyne

Kevin De Bruyne only played a few games for Chelsea under Jose Mourinho before he was sold to VFL Wolfsburg. It was there that he found success and made a number of assists scored goals for the Bundesliga club. Manchester City took notice and swooped for the Belgian for £50million, which now seems like a bargain. De Bruyne is one of the best players on the planet now and that is why he is on our list of top 10 Chelsea rejects who found success away from Stamford Bridge.
He has since become an integral member of Manchester City and has won 3 Premier league titles, 5 league cups 1 FA cup and 2 community shields. And won the player of the year this past season.
3 Romelu Lukaku
The Belgian Time at Chelsea 2011-12,2013-14

Yet another player sold by Jose Mourinho,Lukaku was meant to be the striker who would replace the legendary Didier Drogba. But after a successful loan spell at Everton, Lukaku was sold to the Toffees and then last season (2017/18) he was sold to Manchester United for £90m. And here’s the kicker; Jose Mourinho bought him as manager of the Red Devils. Chelsea were actually lining up a deal to buy Lukaku back but the Special one decided to swoop on transfer deadline day and beat Chelsea to the punch. Ouch.
The Belgian went on to score 17 goals for west Bromwich in 38 matches, 87 goals in 166, 42 goals in 92 appearances for United and 64 goals in 95 appearances for Inter Milan
4 Ryan Bertrand
Time at Chelsea 2010-2012 sold for £10m
Ryan Bertrand was part of the Chelsea squad that won the Champions league in 2012. He was often underrated by Chelsea fans and the club itself though. Bertrand has gone on to become one of the best Premier League left-backs playing for Southampton.
5 Oriol Romeu
Time at Chelsea
Sold for £4m
Oriol Romeu is one of those players you don’t even realise his influence on the pitch until he’s gone. Somewhat like John Obi Mikel, Romeu quietly did his job as a defensive midfielder and kept the ball rolling. But Chelsea sold him and he’s gone on to become a great player for The Saints.
6 Thorgan Hazard
Time at Chelsea 2012(0 matches)
Sold for £4.5m
Eden Hazard’s younger brother Thorgan Hazard used to be a Chelsea player along with his older brother. But Chelsea sold him and he went on to become a fantastic attacking midfielder for the Bundesliga side

Where he has scored 11 times for Dortmund in 70 apps and 46 goals in 182 games for Monchenbgladbach.
7 Filipe Luiz
Time at Chelsea: 2014-2015 – Sold for £11m
Filipe Luis was actually a decent left-back for Chelsea in the 2014/15 season. But he was under-utilized by Mourinho and Jose decided to get rid at the end of the season by selling him back to Ateltico Madrid after just one season. To be fair, that was the season Cesar Azpilicueta became a left-back which restricted Luis’ chances. Luis has gone on to become quite an important player at Atletico since.
He left the Club last summer to Join Brazilian Club Flamengo
8 Juan Cuadrado
Time at Chelsea: 2014-2015 – Sold for £17m
Juan Cuadrado never quite made it at Stamford Bridge. After just one season, Chelsea decided to loan the Colombian out to Juventus where he went on to shine as a left wing-back.
He won 5 Serie A titles, 4 coppa Italia and two Super Copa Italia and a champions league runner up medal. He has also been an influential player in Colombia national team.
9 Redamel Falcao
Time at Chelsea: 2015-2016 – On loan
This one was a strange one. Yes, Radamel Falcao actually played for Chelsea and Manchester United too. But not much. Just after his failed loan spell at Manchester United, Falcao tried to revive his career and form once again by joining Chelsea. However, he was still plagued by injury problems and a bad knee which restricted his chances to play. And when he did play, he didn’t impress.
He left after one season like he did at Manchester United and went back to Monaco where he scored 70 goals in 118 appearances
And helped them win the 2016-17 Ligue 1 .
Nicknamed El Tigre he has become a star player for Galatasaray scoring 20 times in 40 games
10 Daniel Sturridge
Time at Chelsea: 2009-2011, 2011-2013 – Sold for £12m
Daniel Sturridge played for Chelsea for a number of seasons but he never quite made it as a central striker though at the Blues. Chelsea managers during that time preferred playing Sturridge down the wing which he wasn’t as keen on. Which is why he ultimately left to join liverpool.
He had a great first season with Liverpool forming a great partnership with Suarez dubbed the SAS scoring 21 goals up until Suarez left the club. Then injury problems popped up and plagued his career ever since
He did however lift the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool in 2018/19 before leaving the Club.
He left Liverpool with 67 goals in 160 appearances ,not bad for an injury proned player.
