Nigeria vs Lesotho: Check Out What Iwobi Said After Declaring Himself Fit & Healthy

The Super Eagles will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run, as they prepare for their final Group L game against Lesotho which they won by 4 goals to 2 in the first encounter.

The match which kicks off at exactly 5:00PM Nigerian time, will take place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos State. Nigeria having already qualified for the next round of the African Cup of Nations, my use this match to give some players the much needed rest they deserve (those who didn’t play against Benin should be ready to step up if called on by the coach).

Few days ago, it was reported that Super Eagles attacker, Alex Iwobi, tested positive to COVID-19, as he has been in isolation, following FIFA and CAF safety rules. Taken to the official social media handle of the Super Eagles, Iwob declared himself fit and ready to come on to help his teammate as they play their final Group match.

“What going on everyone, I just want to say thank you to everyone showing me love and support throughout this difficult time, I really appreciate it. I have to respect the FIFA and CAF protocols by isolating in my room, it hasn’t been easy knowing you have nu symptoms and that you’re ok. The main thing is I’m healthy and ready to go for the last game. Thanks to my teammate, coach, staff and the NFF president for their care and constant check-up. Let’s see if we can go unbeaten. Up Super Eagles.” Iwobi said.
