The 3rd and 4th quarter final games of the AFCON U-17 championship has been played and we now have the Semi Finalists after the mouthwatering quarter final games.
Mali junior National Team have been great since inception of the AFCON U-17 Championship, winning 2 games in Group C. Mali's Tia opened scoring for the west Africans 7 minutes into their quarter final clash against Congo. Doumbia doubled Mali's lead in the 31st minute to make it 2-0 in the first half of the game. Barry confirmed victory for Mali in the 16th minute of the second half with a goal from the Penalty Spot, to make it 3-0, as they joined Senegal and Morocco in the Semi Finals.
In the last quarter final game, Burkina Faso made the hell out of the game, for the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria from the start of the game. Although both side have good account of their stewardship but Camara made it Burkina Faso's half, scoring on the stroke of halftime to give the junior Burkinabe the lead. About 16 minutes into the second half, Camara found Nigeria's net again, this time from the Penalty Spot to double Burkina Faso's lead. However, Abdullahi pulled a goal back for Nigeria in the 67th minute of action to make it 1-2 but Nigeria's hope was dashed when the Burkina Faso's Team refused to allow another goal as it ended in 1-2.
Nigeria Golden Eaglets lost out of the competition in the quarter finals as Mali and Burkina Faso joined others in the Semi Finals.
