Football is a wonderful sport but one of the downsides to the beautiful game is injuries, serious injuries that affect very talented Players that ought to play week in week out but they instead spend all that time on the treatment table.
Judging based on recent assessments, we will take a look at some talented Players currently in Football whose playing careers have stalled due to persistent, niggling and neverending Injuries. Here they are;
1. Reece James
The Chelsea and England defender is no doubt one of the best if not the best in his position when he is fit and firing. However, niggling and serious injuries have continued to slow him down. In this season alone, he has had two major injuries which kept him out for months and even made him miss the World cup. It is such a sad reality for such a talented defender.
2. Paul Pogba
The Frenchman missed the World cup too but his own injury story is sadder. Pogba has been out for almost a year due to a serious injury. He recently made a long awaited return in order to make his second debut for Juventus. A very talented Midfielder whose career is undoubtedly now at a very fragile point.
3. Neymar Jr
The Brazilian star is currently injured yet again when PSG needs him the most. This has been the consistent storyline throughout his time at the French club. Neymar who is undoubtedly one of the best Players in world Football on his day has seen his career hit a new low which is associated with constant injuries for the Brazilian.
4. N'golo Kante
The French Midfielder has definitely not played up to 5 games this season for Chelsea and this is due to niggling and serious injuries which do not want to cease. Due to his style of play over the years, his body seem to be breaking down ensuring that Kante sadly could be close to the end of his wonderful career much earlier than expected.
5. Anthony Martial
The French Forward is another talented Player who has seen persistent injuries keep him on the sidelines. He is still a Manchester United Player but it seems like he is no longer at the club. It is a sad and sorry state for a Player that at one point was the best young striker in European football. Martial's career surely is now at a crossroads.
