We Can Still Make It To The Final Of Europa League Says Arsenal Coach.

Arteta

The first leg of the Europa League semi-final match resumes on 29 April 2021 and kick-off at exactly 8:00 pm. The Gunners lost 2-1 at Villarreal managed by former Arsenal boss Unai Emery.

Trigueros put Villarreal up just only five minutes into the game before Albiol doubled the lead for Villarreal just before the half time whistle.

Arsenal struggled in the frontcourt but managed to get a goal, from a penalty being awarded and scored by Nicolas Pepe in the second half of the game.

Mikel Arteta said that the long-range goal scored in Spain allowed Arsenal to maintain a good shape in the Europa League. ``It makes us believe that if we do the right thing and perform at our level, We can defeat them.

I am disappointed that we lost the game. The fact that we were given a red card early in the game affected us. We lost the organization, we were exhausted, and the lines between us were so different that we couldn't connect with the ball.

We also do not have enough threats to attack the target. We gave up the second one from the fixed game, and we know their importance in these connections. We trailed 2-0 at halftime, so we have to be us.

We went back to the game and started to become more like what we could do. We controlled the ball more accurately and attacked in the right area. Even with a red card, I think we are still a better team.”

Though Villarreal still maintains the advantage, Arteta said he still believes that away goals put Arsenal in a solid tie before returning next week.
