Transfer News: Adams could be on his way to join Man Utd, Hakimi keen on returning to Madrid

Adams could be on his way to join Man Utd

Leeds United have a possibility to be relegated this season and could end up losing players as a result of it. 24-year-old Tyler Adams could be one of the names on his way out.

According to reports in Football Insider, Adams is wanted by multiple clubs in the Premier League and in top European leagues, and Leeds are unlikely to keep hold of him if they go down. Man United are among the teams keeping tabs on Adams, whose dynamism and energy in midfield has impressed their recruitment team.

Ten Hag: Man Utd need signings for title push

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has re-emphasised the need to enter the transfer market if the club are going to compete for the Premier League title next season. United guaranteed a top-four finish and Champions League qualification with a 4-1 victory over Chelsea on Thursday, but with a 17-point gap to bridge to champions Manchester City, Ten Hag insisted signings were needed to build on his first season at Old Trafford.

“It is difficult to say [about a title challenge next season], the United boss said. “We need to see how we come out of the transfer window.

“It is a good base to build on, but standards have to go up and demands have to rise. We have to work in the summer with this squad, but we also have to strengthen in the window with this squad.

“We want to compete for the title, but it has to be realistic. It is what is there. Now, we are far away so there is a lot of work to do but we need better players if want to compete for the highest.”
