Paris Saint-Germain are one of the favourites to take home the Champions League trophy this season, considering the quality of players at the club.
The French side made good use of the transfer window by bringing in top stars to strengthen the squad. Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Lionel Messi were the top players to join the squad.
With the kind of players Paris Saint-Germain have, they are expected to be winning every game by a huge goal difference but that is not what is happening.
PSG struggled in their first Champions League match against Club Brugge, despite having Neymar, Mbappé and Lionel Messi in the attack. The game disappointed a lot of football fans, as PSG had the quality to defeat Club Brugge but settled for a draw.
On paper Paris Saint-Germain has what it takes to become the winners of the UCL trophy this season, but there are a lot of factors that come into play for a team to win a match.
A very important factor to help a team win a match is teamwork. Teamwork is what makes Manchester City such a great team and Paris Saint-Germain is lacking in that department, especially their forward players.
Kylian Mbappé has reportedly complained about Neymar to his fellow team-mate, Idrissa Gueye. Apparently Mbappé feels Neymar does not pass to him enough on the pitch, and this must have caused problems in the dressing room.
How Kylian Mbappé Is the Problem At PSG.
The 22-year-old forward has reportedly told the club that he is not going to extend his contract, as he plans to sign for Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappé is a Cristiano Ronaldo fanboy and has always loved the Portuguese superstar from when he was little. This is one of the reasons why he wants to play for Real Madrid, because Cristiano Ronaldo made such a big impact in football at the club.
There are reports of Kylian Mbappé also developing a bad attitude and this could be the reason for his issues with Neymar.
Neymar is known for his temper and sometimes can make rash decisions. Perhaps not passing to Mbappé is a way to frustrate the youngster and make him humble.
In the match against Manchester City, Neymar preferred to pass to Messi rather than Mbappé, even though he was open. If this continues it will greatly affect PSG's performance on the pitch, and may cost them titles.
Mbappé did brilliantly though in setting up Lionel Messi's first goal of the season. Though Mbappé's departure would be hard for PSG, it is something they have to accept. And he should be treated fairly, because he is still a player of the club.
