Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Reveals Condition Of Eric Bailly After He's Injury Against Chelsea

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lost of one his most experienced defender in the semi final clash against Chelsea on Sunday.

The Red Devils lost 3-1 to Frank Lampard side at the Wembley stadium, with Eric Bailly taken to the hospital due to head injury.

It all started when the Ivory Coast collided with Harry Maguire accidentally when both men went to challenge Chelsea's centre-forward Olivier Giroud.

Bailly came off worse from the challenge with Maguire had his head bandaged.

It was gathered that the players to received treatment but after lengthy treatment on the sidelines z Bailly was carried off the field on a stretcher and taken to hospital.

After loosing their defender, Manchester United went to concede as Cesar Azpilicueta cross was connected with a simple finish from Oliver Giroud to give the Blues 1-0 going into the half time.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said:

“Eric is in hospital, going through all the routine checks and protocols. He got a cut in the back of his head as well so I don’t really know any more. I haven’t heard or spoken to the doctor about him.

”Of course that moment had a big, big impact on the game. Eric played very well in his 42 or 44 minutes that he was on for and we conceded just after the restart which was very disappointing."

In the second half, David De Gea made another error as Mason Mount effort slip from the Spanish goalkeeper hand into the net.

After the hour mark, Manchester United conceded the third from an own goal by Harry Maguire.

Ole added: “Eric was [until then] a big part of us not having any chances created against us really.”

Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty to give United a consolation goal in the game.
