Checkout The Last Game Cristiano Ronaldo Played For Man Utd During His First Spell And How He Fared

It is real and it is happening, Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Old Trafford and was seen training with some of his new teammates earlier today.

During his first spell at Manchester United, Ronaldo made two hundred and ninety two (292) appearances and was integral as the Red Devils won three Premier league titles, one Champions league title, among other trophies. His individual brilliance equally landed him his first Ballon d'or award before he departed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2009.

The Portugese International is now set to make his second debut for the Red contingent of Manchester this weekend, but before the match against the Magpies, check out his last Manchester United game and how he fared;

Barcelona 2 vs 0 Manchester United (27 May 2009)

Ronaldo's last game for Manchester United during his first spell came in the Champions league final against Barcelona in Rome back in 2009. Unfortunately, the Red Devils lost the game owing to goals from Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi.

However, Ronaldo was outstanding during the first 20 minutes, unleashing a host of efforts at goal. But when Xavi and Iniesta took control of the midfield, he disappeared a little. He would later miss United's best chance just after Messi had scored the second goal for Barcelona.

It goes without saying that Ronaldo's last Manchester United game during his initial stint ended in a defeat and perhaps wasn't the way he would have wanted it to be for him. But the Portugese International now has another chance to add to what he started at Old Trafford eighteen (18) years ago and he's got a host of wonderful teammates to assist him.

How do you think Ronaldo will fare in his second Manchester United stint?
