Taking a critical look at the 2023 edition of the UEFA Champions League final, Manchester City are tip as favourites to win the trophy this season.

The Italian side have done excellently well in the Champions League this season, they might also make history by winning the trophy this term , having eliminated FC Porto, Benfica and Serie Champions AC Milan on the road the final.

Inter Milan beat AC Milan in the second leg with a 3-5-2 formation, which is one of the formation which might be difficult for City to dominate the game and win.

Inter Milan are regarded as underdogs but the have a chance to win the trophy, as long as they have reach the final of the competition.

In the 2021 Champions League final City could only register one shot on target against Chelsea, as Thomas Tuchel use the same formation to win the trophy.

Meanwhile, City lost to Brentford early this season as Thomas Frank side deploy the 3-5-2 system that humble City at Etihad Stadium. If Simoene Inzaghi decides to go on with this formation, City could lose the final contest to the Serie A side.

City might underrate the Italian side considering their current form in all competitions, and this could give the Italian side the trophy after 90 minutes of the contest.
