Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé, born 23 October 1940 (age 79 years), in Três Corações, State of Minas Gerais,Brazil. Pelè is a Brazilian retired professional footballer who played as a forward. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, he was among the most successful and popular sports figures of the 20th century. 

Pelé played professionally in Brazil for two decades, winning three World Cups along the way, before joining the New York Cosmos late in his career. Named FIFA co-Player of the Century in 1999, he is a global ambassador for soccer and other humanitarian causes.

From 1956 to 1974 he played for Santos, had 605 appearances, and scored 589 goals. From 1975-1977 he played for New York Cosmos, when he had 64 appearances, and scored 37 goals. Then from 1978-1980 he played for XI Classic till he retired playing football at 40 years of age.

Retirement did little to diminish the public profile of Pelé, who remained a popular pitchman and active in many professional arenas. In 1978, Pelé was awarded the International Peace Award for his work with UNICEF. 

Pele had three children from his first marriage with Rosemary Cholbi and another two from his second marriage with Assiria Lemos.

Pele, 75, married Marcia at a small religious ceremony in Guaruja on the coast of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Marcia is from Sao Paulo, and Brazilian television showed parts of her and Pele’s wedding ceremony. The retired soccer star has been in a relationship with Marcia for six years. Pele is 25 years her senior. Marcia, who is of Japanese origin, is the daughter of a pediatrician. She is a business owner in the medical supplies sector.

Pele’s marriage to Marcia is his third. His first wife is Rosemeri de Reis Cholbi. Pele was 26 years when they got married in 1966. The couple divorced in 1982.

Edson Cholbi Nascimento (Son).

Edson Cholbi Nascimento, known as Edinho is a Brazilian former football goalkeeper born 27 August 1970 (age 49 years), Santos,State of São Paulo, Brazil. He is the son of football legend Pelé with his first wife Rosemeri Cholbi Nascimento, who is of Brazilian-Argentinian background.

Sandra Regina Nascimento (Daughter).

Nascimento, previously known as Sandra Regina Machado, born 24 August 1964, Guaruj a, State of São Paulo,Brazil and died on 17 October 2006, Santos, Stateof São Paulo, Brazil, aged, 42 years of Cancer.

She was recognised as Pele's daughter in 1996 following a five-year court case when she also won the right to use his surname.

Joshua Nascimento (Son).

Pelé's second son and Edson's brother Joshua is also a footballer, playing under Edson at Santos. Born. 28 September 1996 (age 23 years).

Flávia Christina Kurtz Nascimento (Daughter).
