Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua's promoter, has stated that the boxer will seek a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk after losing his unified championships in London.
The three judges scored the fight 117-112, 116-112, and 115-113 in favor of Usyk.
'He will want to rematch, and he will be the underdog in that fight, but he has just been defeated by a pound-for-pound legend,' said promoter Hearn.
'Joshua lives and breathes boxing; he's already talking about returning to training, and he'll be back in the gym and ready to go.' You can criticize Anthony Joshua all you want, but he just fought a legend, and he's up against the best, and he came up short tonight.'
Thereis a new unified heavyweight world champion, but wallowing in self-pity is pointless; he must return to the drawing board and rebuild.
'We'll have enough time, the fighter in AJ claims he'll win the rematch, but I had it close until Usyk ran away with it at the finish,' says the fighter in AJ.
To win the rematch, he must make modifications and enforce his style, or he would lose again.'
