I Will Do Anything To Win A Match, Even If I Have To Beat My Mother - Diego Costa

Former Chelsea striker and Spanish international Diego Costa has given one of the bluntest comments by a footballer which shows his nature and also his will to be a winner.

Costa recently returned to his country of birth Brazil to join Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro and while speaking at his unveiling press conference, the former Atletico Madrid star pledges his full commitment to the club even if it means beating up his mother for a victory. In his words - "If my mother was on the pitch and I had to beat her to win, I would. I'm going to do anything to win".

Everyone knows Costa for his arrogant and troublesome attitude on the pitch and although this comment was to express his desires to compete with the club, they look extreme.

Before signing for the Brazilian outfit, the 32-year old had been without a club after his contract with Atletico Madrid was terminated back in December 2020. Costa will link up with fellow Brazilian striker Hulk at his new club as he looks to revive his career in his native land.

What do you make of Costa's comment? Can you beat up your mother for a victory, or achievement in your given field?
