Former Super Eagles Goalkeeper's Son Emerges Best Goalkeeper In A National Tournament

It is the joy of every father to see his child do well in any chosen field of endeavor and it brings more joy if the child is doing well in the father's own trade. That is the story of the son of former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Daniel Aiyenugba who has taken after his father in being a goalkeeper

Aiyenugba's son was voted the best goalkeeper at the just concluded Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria Football games now known as Ramat Cup. In a final played on Friday in Kano, the Kwara State team beat Oyo 2-1 in a thrilling final. Abubakar Garba scored both goals for Kwara and that was his 6th goal in 3 games

Dele Aiyenugba his father is currently the goalkeeper of Kwara United. The former Enyimba and Bnei Yehuda of Israel goalkeeper came back to Kwara United to help the team in their quest to play CAF continental football next season and the 37 year old has not disappointed as he has rolled back his glory days with great performances for Kwara United

Aiyenugba made 17 appearances for the Super Eagles and was a penalty specialist for Enyimba during Enyimba's glory days which saw them win the CAF Champions League twice, including the league and FA Cup titles

Dele Aiyenugba would definitely be proud of his son who has shown a tip of what his father could do in his heyday
