Three United players who could benefit from the appointment of Conte should the club sack Solskjaer

Over the past few days, many people associated with Manchester United have made the call for manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to he relieved of his job as United's first team coach due to poor performances on the pitch and poor results. Their latest defeat came in a more embarrassing fashion against rival, Liverpool on Sunday.

After the 0-5 humiliation on Sunday, it has been suggested that United should sack Solskjaer and replace him with former Juventus and Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte. While the Italian manager is a successful and Popular name in the game, he is also known with his philosophy and approach to the game, as such, we will analyze three United players who could benefit from his appointment should the club made the call to hire him.

Countless things have been said about United's struggles this season. Having made some incredible signings this summer, it is expected of the club to be fighting for first position and not languishing in seventh position. However, it seems to be very obvious now that with Solskjaer, United might not be able to fight for titles, as such, different names like Zinedine Zidane, Antonio Conte, among others have been linked with United. One who seems to be interested in the job and seems feasible for the club is the former Inter Milan manager and should United complete a deal to bring him to Old Trafford, below are three players who could benefit from his pattern of play.

1. Harry Maguire.

The English defender and United captain has looked shaky in recent times, especially in games against Liverpool and Leicester City. His overall performances since he joined United in a record deal have not been convincing, either. However, in Conte's preferred 3-5-2 formation, Maguire could find the necessary protection he needs and shines again.

2. Diogo Dalot.

In his preferred 3-5-2 formation, Antonio Conte love to have a flying full back who will play as a winger back and can attack the flank very well. While Wan-Bissaka cannot do this, the Portuguese right back could get more games time should United appoint Conte due to his ability on the ball.

3. Paul Pogba.

Arguably the first United player that could benefit greatly from playing under Conte. It was the Italian manager who brought a teenage Paul Pogba to Juventus and transformed him to a World-class player, as such, playing under him again could see him fulfill potential at United again.
