The International break is over with players making preparations to return to their respective clubs ahead of the club football fixtures at the weekend. Some players will be returning in top form while others might return with injuries or a sudden dip in form.

7. Liverpool FC [ENGLAND]
This month's international break didn't see them lose many players due to factors such as injuries, players restriction on travelling to realise countries etc. Therefore, they only had the likes of Van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota, Robertson allowed to leave.
Van Dijk was spectacular in the Netherlands two wins and most especially against Erling Haaland's Norway which they played a 1-1 draw. Diogo Jota scored for Portugal in their last match while Robertson and Mane captained Scotland and Senegal to victory in their last qualifying matches.
6. Manchester City [ENGLAND]
Manchester City had the highest number of representatives at the international break with about 15 of their players involved. The numbers would have exceeded that if not for the restriction on South American players.
8 out of the 11 regular starters were involved for their countries with the top performers been Ruben Diaz, Joao Cancelo, Bernado Silva, IIkay Gündogan, Ferran Torres etc. Bernado Silva was on the scoresheet for Portugal while Ferran Torres scored a brace for the Spain national team.
5. Manchester United [ENGLAND]
Manchester United welcomed Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford after leaving nearly 12 years ago. He didn't waste time announcing his credibility and what Is expected of him as he scored a late minute brace against Ireland in a historical way.
His brace took him top of the list with 111 goals as the ONLY player with the most international goals in the men category. He wasn't the only top performer for the Manchester side with Jesse Lingard netting a brace against Andorra. Bruno Fernandes and Victor Lindelof were also in action at the weekend for Portugal and Sweden respectively.
4. Barcelona FC [SPAIN]
Barcelona is one of the most successful teams in Europe and Spain with a beautiful style of play different from other teams. Over the years they have produced renowned players such as Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andrés Iniesta, Sergio Busquets etc.
Currently, they might not have that in-depth squad that can pose a serious threat to the opposing teams with few such as Memphis Depay, Sergio Aguero, Gerrard Pique, Sergio Busquets etc the notable mentions.
Memphis Depay again rose to the occasion after gaining the trust and backup of the Barcelona fans as he scored a whopping five(5) goals and an assist in 3 appearances for the club. With a hat trick and assist against Turkey, he has indeed proven that Barcelona still has quality in the team.
3. Borussia Dortmund [GERMANY]
Whenever Borussia Dortmund is mentioned, one name comes to mind and that is Erling Haaland. The tall, strong and great finisher has never disappointed on big occasions.
His prowess was on display during the World Cup qualifiers for Norway as he bagged 5 goals in 3 matches with a hat trick coming in one of the matches against Gibraltar.
His fellow teammate Bellingham, who will soon become the next big thing to happen to England was equally in action for Gareth Southgate's three Lions with Marcos Reus registering a goal for Germany in their second qualifiers game this month.
2. Bayern Munich [GERMANY]
Bayern Munich is one team that never stops scoring owing to their top striker; Robert Lewandowski and some talented players in the team such as Serge Gnabry, Kimmich, Leroy Sane, Mauel Neuer, Hofmann etc.
Robert Lewandowski captained the Polish team to victories over Albania and San Marino including a late minute draw against England in their last match of the qualifiers dor the month of September.
Lewandowski has scored 3 goals and registered 3 assists in three appearances for the team while Serge Gnabry has scored 3 goals and provided an assist for the Germans.
1. Chelsea FC [ENGLAND]
The European Champions had the second-highest representation at the World Cup qualifiers with over 13 players aside from two loanees in action for their countries.
Starting from the defence, double honour captain; Azpilicueta was in action for Spain national team as they recorded victories, Rudiger scored a brilliant goal for Germany last night with second choice striker; Timo Werner also on the score sheet.
Timo Werner has now scored 3 goals and one assist in his 3 games for Germany. Romelu Lukaku is set to undergo a scan to ascertain the cause of pain on his thigh. He scored on three occasions for the Belgium national team before his minor injury setback.
Christensen was solid at the back for the Denmark National team leading to a successive win for them in the absence of Christian Erikson who suffered a cardiac arrest at the EURO 2020.
