A prestigious and reliable sport news channel,Complete Sport has confirmed the news that popular Nigerian woman Nneka Ede has purchased Portuguese third division club Lusitano Ginasio Clube for an undisclosed fee.
Nneka Ede is assumed to be the first Nigerian Business woman to own a football club in Europe.
Speaking after the acquisition of the football club, Mrs Nneka Ede said she is greatly excited by the great feat and hope that this development will deepen the sporting relations between Nigeria and Portugal.
The club which was founded in 1911 by a group of high school and commercial school youngsters has won Evora FA cup and Evora FA championship,Evora Super Cup in the past.
I hope this development will allow our grassroot players in Nigeria the opportunity to ply their trade in Portugal.
May God continue to bless Mrs Nneka Ede
