UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Final Results, Updated Standings, Top Scorers, Assists.

Matchday 2 (Day 2) of the UEFA Champions League started in a cool way as Atalanta moved top of Champions League Group F after a 1-0 victory over Young Boys, thanks to a late winner from Matteo Pessina.

Zenit St Petersburg got off the mark in Group H as they eased to a 4-0 home win over Malmo

Claudinho scored the game's first goal after nine minutes for the Russian side, who were defeated 1-0 by Chelsea in their last meeting.

After Anel Ahmedhodzic was sent off for the visitors, Daler Kuzyayev scored the second after halftime, and Aleksei Sutormin curled in a magnificent third from outside the box in the 80th minute.

Wendel got in on the act late in the game to give Zenit a massive victory.

Bayern Munich maintained their impressive start to this season's Champions League with a second successive group stage victory, A Brace from Robert Lewandowski and a goal from Sergi Gnabry, Leroy Sane, Choup Moting ensured the German giants beat Dynamo Kiev 5-0 at the Allianz Arena.

Barcelona were beaten by Benfica 3-0 in their second group match in the UEFA Champions League, thanks to goals from Nunez (Brace) and Sliva.


Manchester United beat Villareal 2-1 thanks to a late winner from Cristiano Ronaldo.

An early second half strike from Federico Chiesa ensured that Juventus got all three points against Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea
