CHELSEA TRAINING: 2 Training Methods Chelsea Players Used Today As They Prepare For Norwich Clash

1. Making Use Of Mini-Balls.Thomas Tuchel brought back his famous training tactic at Cobham today as the Blues prepared for Norwich game at Stamford Bridge tomorrow. The tactic involves the use of mini balls and Chelsea players were seen practising with these balls for the most part of today's training session. The reason Tuchel uses this tactic is to help the players master their close control in tight spaces when in possession of the ball. Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, Loftus Cheek and Barkley were some of the players who actively took part in this session.

2. Playing Handball.

Chelsea players were also spotted playing Handball in today's training session at Cobham. This is one of Tuchel's favourite training method and he brought it back today. The purpose of using this method during training sessions is to make the players more aware of their positioning in the filed of play. Thomas Tuchel used this training method when he was at Mainz, Borrusia Dortmund and Paris Saint Germain in the past. Chelsea players seemed to be enjoying this training method as they looked forward to Norwich's visit.

The game against Norwich is an easy one for Chelsea, atleast on paper and Tuchel would want a win so as to be able to stay clear of Liverpool who are close behind them in second on the league table. Liverpool face a tough test against Manchester United this weekend so if there's a perfect time for Chelsea to try and move further ahead of them on points, it's tomorrow.
