Naomi Osaka Dazzles in Vibrant Red Braided Hairstyle as She Lights the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Flame

Naomi Osaka had the rare privilege to light the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Cauldron. She is the first tennis player to light up an Olympic flame. She did it in style while debuting her vibrant red braids. It was an iconic moment for the four-time Grand Slam champion.

23-year-old Naomi shared pictures of her Olympic moment on Instagram. She wrote: "Undoubtedly the greatest athletic achievement and honor I will ever have in my life. I have no words to describe the feelings I have right now but I do know I am currently filled with gratefulness and thankfulness."

Naomi Osaka withdrew from the French Open in May 2021 because of mental health challenges. She also didn't participate in the Wimbledon tournament a few weeks later.

She is the first Asian player to hold the top ranking in singles. She the reigning champion at the US Open and the Australian Open.
